Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and Play art international Limited Company ("we") for using obslive. By using the service you accept them.
1. The service
obslive is a cloud broadcast console. You send us a stream from your phone or another source, and we distribute it to the platforms you choose, with composited layouts, standby cover, recording and video-live playout.
You can stream to up to 4 platforms at once. Allowances, limits and which features come with which plan are set out on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them current.
- The account is for you or your organisation. You are responsible for everything that happens under it, including anything that follows from your password getting out.
- Tell us immediately if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Fees and payment
- Annual fees are non-refundable once paid, including for any unused part of the term.
- Monthly allowances included in a plan do not roll over. They reset each month.
- Top-up hour packs stay in your account and do not expire. Phone-streaming hours and video-live hours are separate pools and cannot be used interchangeably.
- When your allowance runs out you cannot go live until you buy a top-up or move to a larger plan.
- Prices are set per region in local currency (TWD, MYR, SGD, USD). Each price list is set independently — they are not currency conversions of one another.
- We may change prices. A change does not affect the term you have already paid for.
4. Limits on use
- A single stream runs for at most 8 hours, after which the system ends it automatically.
- Recordings are kept for 7 days and then deleted. Download anything you want to keep.
- Up to 50 uploaded videos per account, each at most 4 hours long.
- Do not resell the service, operate it on behalf of someone else’s account, or work around plan allowances by any means.
5. Your content and conduct
You keep the copyright in everything you stream or upload. You grant us the rights needed to run the service on that content — transporting, transcoding, caching it, and delivering it to the platforms you selected.
Your content must be lawful and must not infringe anyone else’s rights. The following are prohibited outright:
- Infringing copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property.
- Selling goods that are unlawful, or that require a licence you do not hold.
- Distributing illegal, violent or sexual content.
- Fraud, misleading advertising, or anything else that breaches consumer protection or fair trading law.
- Interfering with the service, or attempting to access systems you are not authorised to.
We may suspend or terminate the service without prior notice where these rules are broken, and fees already paid are not refunded.
6. Third-party platforms
obslive delivers your stream to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and others, but those platforms are not ours and we do not control them. Their own terms and community rules apply to you as well.
Problems at the platform end — an outage, your account being suspended there, a stream being taken down or throttled — are outside our control and are not something we can be responsible for.
7. Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee it will never be interrupted or entirely free of faults. Maintenance, upgrades, network failures and events beyond our control can all cause interruptions.
Planned maintenance is announced in advance, in the service or by email.
Standby cover engages when we detect a problem with your signal and substantially reduces the chance of a stream dropping, but it is not a guarantee of uninterrupted broadcast — the outcome also depends on your network and on each platform.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost business, lost profit or lost data arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
In any event our total liability is capped at the fees you actually paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded in advance by law.
9. Termination
- You may stop using the service at any time, or email us to have your account deleted. Annual fees already paid are not refunded.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for serious breach of these terms.
- After termination your recordings, uploads and other content are deleted and cannot be recovered.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as the service changes. Revised versions are published on this page with a new "last updated" date, and we will give notice of significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For disputes arising out of them, the parties agree to the Taiwan Taoyuan District Court as the court of first instance.
